Value-based, at-risk organizations.
Vernier's buyers hold risk. They need to see the whole plan, and most of them cannot afford an enterprise vendor to see it with. The founder has run every kind of organization on this page.
Startup and small Medicare Advantage plans
Two thousand to twenty-five thousand members. You need the whole stack: analytics, the four FHIR APIs, portals for members and providers, an operations layer and credentialing. You cannot afford six vendors, and you cannot afford to miss January 1, 2027.
Bruce has personally built five of these plans. He knows the operating problems and the budget shape, and the founding-client terms are designed for exactly this buyer.
- Lead: CMS-0057-F readiness, because it has a date and an owner.
- Then: the analytics portal, because that is what the plan runs on.
- Then: admin, member and provider portals, credentialing, CRM.
The buying committee, by module
- CIO / VP IT: FHIR, interoperability, security review
- Compliance officer: CMS-0057-F, prior-auth metrics disclosure, credentialing
- VP Risk Adjustment / CFO: HCC capture, MLR, revenue
- VP Medical Management / CMO: UM, the seven-day clock, care management
- VP Network: provider portal, credentialing
- Stars director: the measure-set change
PACE organizations
Small census, high touch, assessment- and care-management-centric. The interdisciplinary team needs a living health risk assessment, outreach that is documented, and credentialing that survives an audit of a small network.
CMS-0057-F applies to Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, CHIP and the federally facilitated exchanges, not to PACE. So we do not lead with the FHIR deadline here; we lead with Vernier HRA, the CRM and credentialing.
Vernier HRA
Fourteen condition modules, screener escalation, nurse review and a living document per participant.
Credentialing
A small network, audited like a large one. The packet and the audit trail.
CRM
Every call, letter and follow-up on one timeline per participant.
Analytics
Utilization and care gaps for a population you know by name.
IPAs, MSOs and ACOs
You own attribution and you feel provider abrasion directly. The provider portal gives each practice its own panel, eligibility, authorizations, claims and coding worklists. The analytics portal gives you the population view: coding suspects with evidence on CMS-HCC V28, care gaps ranked by closability, utilization by provider.
Bruce established one of the nation's first Shared Savings ACOs in 2011, four more after it, and owned one of the largest Humana-affiliated MSOs in Florida. Risk adjustment and population analytics, less plan operations.
TPAs and administrators
One relationship carries several plans. You run the core administrative system; Vernier ingests the adjudicated claims feed and serves the analytics, the FHIR APIs and the portals your plan clients' members and providers log into. Claims adjudication and payment stay with you, by design.
Every application deploys as a container. Stand up one environment per client plan, or let HALOS host it.

The walkthrough is built around your segment: the modules you would use, the people who would use them, and the date you are working toward.
